When is lifeguard coverage?
Lifeguard coverage is every day from 10 a.m. -5:30 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
How many lifeguards are on duty?
The beach is protected by 56 lifeguards, six supervising lieutenants and two medical personnel. Approximately 28 lifeguard chairs are stationed at the water’s edge during the busy season.
Where is First Aid?
First Aid and Headquarters is located at Rambler Road and Beach.
How can I rent a wheelchair?
Wheelchair rentals are available at Headquarters free of charge. To rent a wheelchair you will need a driver’s license/identification card that will be held until you return. Rentals begin at 11 a.m. and must be returned by 4 p.m..
Can I reserve a wheelchair?
No, wheelchairs cannot be reserved. Rentals operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What if I need additional transportation?
Free handicap transportation service is provided by the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol when lifeguards are on duty 11 a.m. to 4 4 p.m from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Call 609-522-3825 for more information and to schedule services.
Can I surf on the beach?
Surfing-only beaches are located on Crocus/Aster, Cardinal/Sweetbriar, Myrtle/Primrose, Rambler/Orchid
Can I bring pets on the beach?
No, animals are not permitted on the beach.
Where is the recreational area?
The recreational area is located in the soft sand behind the umbrella line. Kite flying, ball playing and frisbee are permitted in the designated area.
